Turn Junk Into Profits

April 30, 2009

Does your mailbox ever look like this one? If you're like most people, you receive tons of junk mail – advertisements, credit card offers, magazines; the list goes on and on. Junk Mail for Profit

Ultimately, we know where the mail will end up – in the trash. And, what a waste for the advertising company. But, what an even bigger waste if you don’t take a moment to capitalize on this opportunity to increase your network and turn junk mail into profits.

Before you throw the piece of junk mail away, scavenge for e-mail addresses. It takes about 10-15 minutes to scan through a magazine's ads and append e-mail addresses to your e-mail database. You could also do the same thing with their postal addresses and telephone numbers. Keep a running database for these "junk mail" leads. This works great for solicitations such as magazines, newspapers, insurance agent letters, car service shops, restaurant promotions, church mailings, etc.

I receive less than 1% of unsubscribes from these individuals. And, more times than not, I can see that they are "clicking" on stories in my e-newsletters.
